Our Statement on Human Trafficking
Miss Pageant Thief LLC is committed to the fight against human trafficking and slavery in all its forms. We provide a pageant that celebrates the best our world can produce, and support fully empowering women to become independent and self-actualized persons.
This statement is made pursuant to our Company values and goals, and in line with the UK Modern Slavery Act, Australian Modern Slavery Act, and the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act. It sets out the steps taken by Miss Pageant Thief LLC to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in our business operations, partnerships and supply chains.
Miss Pageant Thief LLC stands against all forms of modern slavery and human trafficking. Slavery is a crime and a violation of basic human rights. It takes various forms such as slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labor and human trafficking, all of which have in common the deprivation of a person’s liberty by another in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain.
We are committed to acting with integrity and mitigating the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking in our business dealings and relationships with our creators and fans. We are also committed to treating all employees, partners and vendors with respect and dignity, ensuring safe working conditions, and conducting environmentally responsible and ethical operations.
In order to do our part to combat this scourge on humanity, we:
Our Policies
We are committed to taking all steps to ensure that there are no modern slavery or human trafficking activities taking place on our platform, in our business, or in our supply chain.
We specifically prohibit the uploading, posting, displaying, or publishing of content that:
Our Risk Assessment
Our staff are aware of the higher risk of human trafficking in some locales, and are trained to pass those observations up to management for immediate action.
Miss Pageant Thief LLC employs only properly vetted Admins, and these are well-trained. We believe the risk of any involvement with human trafficking to be extremely low. We sometimes will employ Admins outside the U.S.A., where there is a slightly higher risk of modern slavery and human trafficking. We ensure that our entire workforce is aware of these risks and our views toward these issues, and that they will report any instances of suspected modern slavery or human trafficking.
As with all social media platforms, there are risks related to users’ content, including the risk of material being uploaded that is exploitative and in breach of various laws and of our policies. We have safeguards in place to identify these issues and will take action to delete them.
We use contractors for some of our platform services, and third-party suppliers to assist with user verification and content moderation processes. These contractors and third parties might violate relevant laws or our policies, but any instance will be resolved as soon as possible.
We carefully check all identity and payment details for each Contestant application to ensure that individuals can only make an account on their own behalf. We specifically check for any discrepancies between identity documents and the legal name provided on payment methods, and employ technological safeguards to prevent Contestant payment details from being changed by anyone except that verified user..
We monitor all media uploaded to our pageant and remove, and report where necessary, any content that facilitates the exploitation of people, including modern slavery and human trafficking. All our page Admins are trained to identify and swiftly report any suspected modern slavery including trafficking. Before content can appear on a newsfeed, we inspect it with state-of-the-art digital technologies to check whether the content is allowed on the platform. Our trained Admins identify and report any content which they suspect may be an indicator of modern slavery or human trafficking. We can review and remove any image or video at any time. All messaging on our pageant is viewable publicly, and is permanent unless deleted manually.
Each Contestant has a “Report to Admin” button on every post in her forum to inform our Admins directly of any issues they may face, which is another conduit to ensure our staff are aware of issues.
If we suspect there is an indication of human trafficking or exploitation, we will report that issue to the relevant law enforcement or NGO for action.
If any user notices any violation of our Terms of Service or any instance of human trafficking or sexual exploitation, contact us at models@modelmax.club
